Electronics Design, Product Development & Pre-Compliance EMI/EMC Testing

We specialise in electronics design, electronic research and development, independent product evaluation, and offer specialist electronic service and repair. We can provide a consultancy service to provide production testing solutions, and can design and construct custom testing fixtures from simple mechanical jigs to embedded microprocessor controlled fixtures.

For both electronic and mechanical prototyping, we have a very well equipped electronics lab, and also have an in-house industrial workshop with full metal turning, plastic turning, milling, plastic welding, MIG, TIG & PUK welding. We can design and manufacture custom solutions, provide electro/mechanical prototyping services, manufacture custom parts and components, as well as make replacement parts for unsupported or obsolete devices, products or machinery.

We have a well equipped electronics service and R&D lab, with staff possessing a strong background in

  • Instrumentation and measurement,

  • Electronics design, specialists in both analog and digital electronics, from Valves to FPGAs

  • EMC Pre-compliance testing (Radiated and conducted emmisions)

  • Industrial electronics control system and monitoring design,

  • Electronics manufacturing,

  • Production testing / acceptance testing, design of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) fixtures

  • Calibration, Instrumentation & Measurement

  • 3D and 2D CAD design and mechanical modelling

  • 3D printing (Filament and Resin)

In-House EMC / EMI Pre-Compliance Testing

We can undertake radiated and conducted emissions testing, both low voltage DC and 240V conducted emissions. We have a wide range of instrumentation, AC LISNs, DC LISNs, sensors, antennas, TEM cells, RF probes & RF current probes to resolve a wide range of compliance issues.

When designing new products, the EMI requirements can be a large hurdle to overcome often involving considerable time, expense and experience to resolve – especially if identified at late stage design.

Starting from the very first prototype, we rely on our in-house pre-compliance fixture to identify and address potential non-conformances early in the design process.

Additionally we can also help your existing design with EMI/EMC compliance testing for C-Tick approval. If your device has failed compliance, we can review the design, and recommend changes.

For prototype products, short run part fabrication, test fixture and test jig fabrication, we have an extremely well equipped industrial workshop.

Broadly, we have the following capabilities in-house:

  • CO2 Laser etching and cutting, for acrylic and wood.

  • C02 Laser etching for acrylic, wood & anodised aluminium

  • Acrylic bending machine, width 900mm

  • 3D scanning

  • Plastic printing (both filament and resin)

  • Plastic turning, plastic milling, plastic welding,

  • Metal turning, metal milling, PUK welding, MIG Welding and TIG welding.

We can design and manufacture custom solutions, provide electro/mechanical prototyping services, manufacture custom parts and components, as well as make replacement / drop-in parts for unsupported or obsolete devices, products or machinery.
